f i v e y e a r s

I met Christopher when I was fifteen.  And when I was seventeen, five years ago today, he asked me to be his girlfriend.

Except he didn't.  He actually just said, "I like you.  Maybe we should start dating."

You can imagine how many ways I dissected that one when I got home.  Maybe.  Maybe.  Maybe?   M a y b e.

Despite his choice of words, we've been dating ever since.

I hear a lot of people say they're so glad they didn't end up with their high school boyfriend, or that they're a completely different person today than they were in high school, so their relationship then would never work now.

We're both completely different people than we were in high school, but we grew and changed together.  Senior year and graduating high school and choosing colleges and figuring out how long distance works...we did that together.  Since that day five years ago, Chris has been a part of every change, every big decision, every heartache, every accomplishment, everything.  The good, the bad, the ugly.  He's been my best friend through it all, and I think that's the most important thing.  Because best friends laugh together.  They cry together.  They figure life out together.  And that's what we've been doing for the past five years.

And now, some fuzzy pictures from high school.  We were still working with the iphone 1, people.

This is from the first iphone that had the front-facing camera.  We had no idea where we were supposed to look.  I have approximately three months of pictures where our eyes look like this because we were looking at our own faces instead of the camera.

  2. I just got married around 3 weeks ago now to my high school sweetheart. We did the same thing, where we had to make long distance work but we've now been together over 4 years as well. I love our story and how, being long distance, we did get to grow on our own, but through being together we grew together and stronger than ever through the years as well. Congrats :)

  3. How cute! You guys make a gorgeous couple!

I love it when a couple meets in high school and they still work years later. I don't think my husband and I would have made it if we met in high school, though. Haha. Congrats on 5 years!

  11. you guys look like babies in some of these! <3

also, I STILL look at my face, or the face of the person I'm trying to take the picture with in the front facing camera. I NEVER remember that I should actually be looking into the camera... consequently- your last photo looks completely normal to me. haha!

  12. You guys look like BABIES in some of this pictures. I think there is a big difference between couples that just dating/married and couples that are best friends. I really don't see how someone can be in a working relationship if they aren't best friends.

  24. After being in relationship with him for 3 years, he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to someone online and she suggested that I should rather contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that never believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I mailed the spell caster, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened, that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him, that was how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made promise that anybody I know that have a relationship problem, I would be of help to such person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own problem and who is different from all the other ones out there. Anybody could need the help of the spell caster, lotto, his email is DRAISEDIONSPELLCASTER@OUTLOOK.COM you can email him if you need his assistance in your relationship or any other problem like wining lottery.
